My app now tells me I have completed 24 out of 27 runs. Although in reality I have done a few more than that due to repeating a run or two or three.😀
Just back from run 3 of week 8, after struggling through the last two runs this one was great. I ran a new route of 5k, which included the warm up and cool down walks. Worked out perfect from door to door.
For company I selected a completely different genre of music to my normal taste which is indie/alternative. This time I headed off listening to a compilation of Rap from Spotify. I was giggling away to myself listening to the tracks, 43 year old Irish man does not really fit the intended audience. There was a lot of very rude lyrics pumping through my ears but wow did it work. Got me through the 28 minute run with more left in the tank. And I held a pretty solid pace of just over 11 mins per mile.
So 3 more runs to go, can't believe I'm moving onto week 9. This forum is the reason why I have got this far after failing so many times in the past. I'm not on Facebook, twitter or any other form of social media. This forum is amazing and full of the nicest most supportive people ever. Thanks for your support and warm advice.
