1st 5K and 1st ParkRun

Having recently completed C25K I joined in with a ParkRun on Saturday which was good fun as you all said it would be. For me there was a big leap from a 30 min run to running 5K .....an extra 15 minutes but I did it with a smile and didn't even mind being nearly last!! So my time can only get better. If you're considering a ParkRun near you I'd say definitely do it and enjoy yourself. Go as slow as you like and have fun. 🐌😅

Well done. Parkrun is fantastic and free. Best things are always free. 😀 I felt like giving up again after week 5 of C25K. Then I found Parkrun. I ran and walked my first 3 Parkruns and managed to run a full Parkrun on my last attempt. On Saturday I did my first Volunteer at Parkrun in my local town. Looking forward to running Parkrun with my Brother and Sister next Saturday.

I think Parkrun will keep me interested and running long after C25K program. After a break of a week thanks to man flu 😷 I am looking forward to getting back into doing my week 8 run 2 this evening.

Well done! That's my target after completing the programme. We have several parkruns in my area, in lovely settings (a couple in National Trust properties). I can't wait!
