Having recently completed C25K I joined in with a ParkRun on Saturday which was good fun as you all said it would be. For me there was a big leap from a 30 min run to running 5K .....an extra 15 minutes but I did it with a smile and didn't even mind being nearly last!! So my time can only get better. If you're considering a ParkRun near you I'd say definitely do it and enjoy yourself. Go as slow as you like and have fun. ππ

1st 5K and 1st ParkRun
Congrats on your success well done you.
Well done. Parkrun is fantastic and free. Best things are always free. π I felt like giving up again after week 5 of C25K. Then I found Parkrun. I ran and walked my first 3 Parkruns and managed to run a full Parkrun on my last attempt. On Saturday I did my first Volunteer at Parkrun in my local town. Looking forward to running Parkrun with my Brother and Sister next Saturday.
I think Parkrun will keep me interested and running long after C25K program. After a break of a week thanks to man flu π· I am looking forward to getting back into doing my week 8 run 2 this evening.
Well done! That's my target after completing the programme. We have several parkruns in my area, in lovely settings (a couple in National Trust properties). I can't wait!
