Morning people , so I've got my first parkrun under my belt and got to say I'm soooooooo happy!!!. It's been 2 weeks since I graduated from couch25k and I've stuck to my three 5k runs over the past two weeks but that was my best run yet to date for a couple of reasons. Firstly everyone seems so friendly and supportive at parkrun it's unbelievable, only positive vibes I felt which made me feel at ease and then find out I've run 27.20ππ. Roll on next Saturday cause I genuinely cannot wait . What a fantastic feeling!!. Anyway sorry to ramble on , and happy running people πβ.
1st parkrun and I'm buzzin π: Morning people... - Couch to 5K

Fab achievement GMAN!!! Well run youππ
Thank you oldlady57 π
Bloody brilliant, you Speedy Gonzalez, GMAN1977! That's an awesome time. Glad you enjoyed it, bet it was a pretty course at the arboretum, or maybe it was all just a blur as you sprinted past?! π
Thanks Debston, your to kind . To be honest the arboretum is a nice place to be if your running, walking,or just chilling in the sunshine. Fantastic place to run !!ππβ
Love parkrun! Thatβs an amazing time!
Congratulations on completing your first 5k Parkrun and in a sub 30 minute time of 27.20, excellent, roll on next Saturday for both mine and your second parkrun. π π
Thanks AlMorr , can't wait ππβ
Wow! Brilliant time! Well done! πππ
Thanks angie31964 ππβ
Wahoo! πππΌπ Congratulations. What a fantastic time - clearly you are one of those zippy, speedy ones who flash by me in a blur. ππ Mainly, good that it was such a positive experience. π
Thanks Granspeed , I'd say I'm steady , but far from zippy lol. ππβ
Wow GMAN! Thats awesome πππ
Thanks Lindsey joy, I'm chuffed to be honest. Couldn't of asked for a nicer experience ππβ
Brilliant. Another one blowing the doors off their first parkrun. Amazing and very well done on your time. It took me 2 years to get a time similar. Congratulations. Delighted also to read that your addicted too. Itβs an amazingly positive experience.
Damien
Thanks for your support Damien, it's posts like that what keeps me focused and determined to better myself. This forum is full to the brim of positive people all helping each other. Truly amazing πβ
Huge well done you I am glad you had so much fun and a great time too
TWENTY SEVEN MINUTES?! Flippin' flip dude, that's crazy π€ͺ well done mate, well done.
Thanks fg19, it is crazy because this time last year I was in self destruct mode . What a difference a year makes πβ.
I'm so proud of you.
Bless ya and thank you for your kind words . It means a lot π. Just need to get you to a parkrun now , sooner rather than later fg19 !!.
Urgh, it's going to be late August before I get a chance, and then the boys football practices are back on and I'll probably get caught up in that and have to wait until December! π
I last made parkrun 3 years ago... Football is to blame!
Football mad I was when I was younger. Boys will be boys lol.
Well your running so that's the main thing ,and if you have other commitments it can't be helped but If you get a chance to sneak a parkrun in grab it . You'll love it πβ
Youngest and I might do the junior parkrun tomorrow... !
That's brilliant, make sure you let us all know how you both get on. That sounds like a nice morning/Afternoon out and I bet he enjoys it !!.
Great and well done. I'm a bit behind you W6R3 done. Your park would be my nearest assuming I finish the course. I don't drive (bus is easy) would there be anywhere to leave my rucksack?
Thanks skeg and try to finish c25k, it really does work!!!. Your so close , 3 more weeks and you've cracked it . I did notice that some people had left there bikes , bags ect near finishing line against the railings so you could always do that , but it would be at your own risk . It's a good vibe so just don't take anything that's valuable. You could run with your rucksack on . There's people running with dogs ,prams ect so a small rucksack shouldn't be a problem lol.
Congratulations π₯³ fabulous time x
Superb Gman!!! Well done you ππͺπ»
Thanks TeeBedders π
Well done GMAN! Break your PB next week at park run?!
Thanks Oldgirlruns,I'm aiming to go under 27 mins next week but if I don't then I'll keep trying until it does happen lol. ππβ
