Didn't manage run 3 as I got cramp in calf muscle. Now ok But as I have been busy all week haven't been out since Saturday. Should I try run 3 again or go back a step?

Wish me luck. Kim

How far into the run were you before you got the cramp and have you had the cramp in the calf before? Were you maybe going a little to quickly? My first attempt at w5r3 saw me clutching my cramping calves and ending up doing a very wobbly walk after about 12 minutes! Slowing the running right down and taking smaller steps helped me manage it (plus adding more hydration). I redid the whole week but that was just where my head was. Having a few days out won't have set your fitness back at all and the rest may even have helped. Whether you do run 2 again or go for run 3 again, you can definitely do this. Just take it slow and easy. Good luck😊

I had ran for 15. Too fast and without hydration. So I think I could have done it.

Tonight whatever going out

I would carry on but go at a very slow pace 😊

Slow and steady. Carry on on same run. I find a slow pace that I can breathe at and stay there. I'm going for time first then distance (5k) then I'll tackle my speed...maybe 😜.

Well done for getting this far 🏃🏃

Thank you all for your support. Wk5/R3 completed. Had 2 10 second drink slurps but ran 30 seconds longer at the end as husband was sitting on a park bench waiting for me.

3.9km ran!! Chuffed!!
