Repeating exactly the same run is tough for me - the lack of enthusiasm threatens to set in! I wanted to stop every minute for about 15 minutes, but its a little like deciding you don't want to swim anymore in the middle of the ocean, not a good idea.
I will probably find the third run easier as I know its the end of the week 7 but anyway, a great result but probably one run I didn't enjoy so much. I am finding the last runs of the week much more satisfying, and the first runs of the week are more challenging.
The couch25Kplan I am following might not be exactly the same as the nhs one but anyway it says run for 25m or 4K so I try to do both, or see 'how it works out'
So- ran 4km in 27 minutes then walked for 2 minutes then 'jogged' (anything that isn't crawling on hands and knees at this stage is 'jogging') . Time for 5k including a 2 minute walk was roughly 34.30 .
I think I won't get to a 30 minute 5K by WK 9 but it's good fun having a go at it, I'd be happy with 32minutes and not being too exhausted at the end.

Thanks, I have to say in my case, it wasn't my legs , I just didn't feel like I had much gas in the tank, and all up to the end of week 5 my legs were killing me as I was running! And I seriously thought that I'd need to get assistance to walk back after doing the 20 minute run at the end of week 5 such was the pain in my legs. That was harder, but this is harder mentally. Each step up is hard mentally I know. My legs feel great. I guess I'm finally at a stage where I am no longer finding it even relatively easy, I suppose it could be easy but I am perhaps setting off too fast for my ability. I will have to eat more I think! Its a challenge all the way through though, I can see why people redo it even though they did it before.
