Really didn't enjoy my final run of wk2 last week, and couldn't face starting W3 in the rain this morning! (All of you brave souls who did run today deserve a medal!)
I need some motivation! What makes you / keeps you running?

Is there anyone you can run with... it makes you keep going! Or ask someone to join you for a chat.
I can't give you motivation (if I could I would) but I will say that as time passes you will feel AMAZING about yourself if you carry on running; fighting your demons and making small steps towards health and fitness. You have started so why not continue. All the best in your endeavours.
What keeps me going is the incredible feeling that I did something that I didn't know I could do
THANK YOU!
I have set myself a target to do a charity 5k in September I have allowed time to redo weeks if necessary and I haven't told anyone but my family
I am using the save my run on the app as my incentive to do another run every time I save a run and move on to the next I'm a step closer to the last one
I don't have anyone to run with but try to run to tracks I like it's helps to distract me from mentally counting down the minutes
Stubbornness and the need to get fit
I just feel so good about myself when I manage a new time of continuous running. So for me the first run of each week gives me the biggest kick. But I also decided not to run in the rain. Don't think that will be much fun so I think it will undermine the positive feeling.
My other motivation is to do my local park run to make some new friends in my local area. Counting down to the week I can do that also helps me not put off runs too often.
I guess it is finding a goal that's meaningful to you.
Good luck. You don't have to run in the rain to keep going.
Running in the rain is fine, it really is. Try it. It was warm, despite being windy.
I ran today and enjoyed it 🏃♀️🏃♀️🌂
Rain?.... it is just wet... and once you are wet... well
I run.... why? To feed my soul, to free my mind, to nurture my spirit and strengthen my body.... and because I am fortunate enough to be able to do it.
" There will be a day when I can no longer run... Today is not that day "
I love that quote Oldfloss used! A running coach said the same to me a couple of weeks ago, he was dripping with rainwater, incredibly (unbelievably, infuriatingly) cheerful, told us that if we kept running we wouldn't be cold ... sod me if he wasn't right! More than most people on this site I also echo Oldfloss's sentiment that I'm fortunate enough to be still able to do it. The gremlins told me today to stay at home ... when I first stepped outside today I agreed with them ... when I was 5 minutes into my run they gave up and went away ... at the end when I stepped back indoors I (almost) wished I could do it again. Motivation? Believe me I never thought I'd come to love running, never in a MILLION YEARS. Motivation? There's no better feeling than you get after that run, doesn't matter how fast, how slow (that's me by the way!) or how long. KEEP GOING, start getting up and putting on your running gear before you change your mind - procrastination is exhausting. GO ON, WEEK 3 HERE YOU COME!
I did it!!!!!! And feel great!!!!!!!!! 🏃
For the last few days, I have been running in defiance of those idiots who think they can ruin our world and our lives. More than ever before, I am running 'because I can' and just as importantly, because others can't.👍🏼🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️👍🏼
