Run fat girl run!

Did my first day of week1 last night with my 17 year old daughter and I am still alive!!! Managed about 56sec on 3 runs then just kept moving as briskly as I could. My lungs have never worked so hard and my face was like a tomato but I felt good at the end. Met some fellow C25K who were really encouraging as they were on week 5 and I am determined to do this!!!!

  • Well done for starting! Just keep it slow and slower still and you will build up your stamina.

  • Trust me on this. I'm the slowest runner on Earth and I can say that I feel stronger now. I'm on week eight and I feel less tired already. It does get easier, but I'm a novice right now, just like you.

    Stick with it and you'll soon be whizzing through the 1 minute runs like they were nothing :)

  • Seriously it does get better. I am on week 7 and having a few issues with the full 25 minutes, however, I console myself that I can run at least 15 minutes really comfortably now. I barely managed a minute at first! Keep going and good luck!

  • Run nice and slowly! You only need warm up and cool down briskly If you listen to the podcaster he or she will tell you what to do
