Done it! W9 R3 completed!

Amazing. 10 weeks ago I struggled to run for one minute, it felt forever. Now the last minute countdown at the end of 29 mins feels like a breeze, comparatively! Still no where near 5k. Think my next aim is 4k in 30 mins and onwards from there.

Thanks for all the support. I find the posts so helpful.

Congratulations... now the journey really begins... :)

The building up of our running stamina and strength takes time... so, consolidate those 30 minute runs...take some runs for the joy of running, and then think where you want your feet to take you :)

That is so good, well done to you, I think you've done wonderfully. So, did you have the thought initially on run one that you're never going to do it? I've only done wk 1 run 1 on Wednesday. Could not do anything yesterday due to commitments. I was going to run before work, but I'd done the gym Thurs am and felt so knackered come Thurs eve, haha.

Do you feel fitter or better for doing this course? πŸ‘

Thank you. Yes definitely feel fitter. I found week 1 and 2 very hard and they took 3 weeks to complete. After that I started to look forward to the runs, something I never thought I would! The sense of achievement is fantastic and overcame the thoughts that I couldnt do it. I dreaded the first 20 min run but actually it was easier than 2x10 minutes as starting again is very hard after you have walked. I go out early mornings and the good feeling lasts all day! Still VERY slow but as everyone says that will come with time and at my age I am not aiming for fast runs, just keeping going and feeling better. The more you do the more energy you seem to have. Good luck with journey and look forward to hearing how it goes.

thank you. Whatever week you are on keep going, there may be ups and downs but you can get there, if I can anyone can!

Well done and also thank you so much for admitting W1R1 was tough. I've just done it and I'm shocked at how hard the last three 1 min runs were. You prove it can be done and I know I will do it, but right now I'm finding it hard to believe I'll ever run for 30 mins. Thank you, WELL DONE!

thank you! I had little faith at the beginning that i would survive but I did! Couldn't let myself or Laura down! Keep at it, it does get easier , as well as some runs being harder, but support on this site is really good and motivating.
