Started slimming world two weeks ago to lose a good amount of weight and making good progress. Ive finally took the plunge and done my first run. I used to love running until "life" got in the way! So here I am doing Couch to 5K hoping to find my enjoyment from running and a healthier lifestyle again!
I am going to be sore tomorrow and any advice to get through the soreness and stiffness will be appreciated??

Welcome back to running, C25k is an excellent choice.
Take it very slow and steady, speed and distance are not important at this stage. Make sure you do the warm up and warm down walks and do some stretches when you get home. I do the stretches from the link on the NHS C25K website which have worked for me.
Hi Wizziewood59.. Thanks I done the stretches after about to jump into the bath. Sore knees might be an issues I found the knee strenghter excerises on theretoo thanks for the tip.
Do your cool down walk and some gentle stretches after. A warm bath can help and if there is a Mr RachK87 then get him to massage your legs before sleep. I do that every night for my better half who is a far more advanced runner than I ( I am just starting week 3) and she said that the muscle rubs really help.
A brilliant tip I'll be making she he does haha great advice Does it get easier as the weeks go by?? I am convinced I'll be in agony and struggling every week?
Each week brings its own challenges to overcome Rach, I can certainly say that running for a minute is easier at this stage, if only that was all I had to run for 😂😂 If it was easy I would have a six pack by now rather than my Keg!! However nothing worth doing is easy and the long term benefits outweigh the short term hardships. We will get there I am sure!! 👍🏻👍🏻 ( ps scented oils are cheap on the bay and make all the difference when being massaged!!) 😀👍🏻👍🏻
