Friday I did w4r1. It was very hard but I managed it. So I did it once so I can do it again yeah? Just got back from r2 and failed half way through the first 3 minutes stretch and again in the first 5 mins. So cross with myself π‘ don't know whether to try again tomorrow or have a rest day.
Hoping that this is a blip π: Friday I did w4r... - Couch to 5K
Hoping that this is a blip π
Sometimes we just have off days. I'd maybe have a rest day myself (especially if you can't plan to run when it's cool(ish).
Hey stop beating yourself up about this! We have all been like this at some stage of the C25K. Remember what Laura tells us a bad run is better than no run at all,so keep going strong and maybe have an extra rest day.
Happy running!ππ
I'm no expert but I'd say this has got blip written all over it. But it might also be worth checking that you line your next run time up carefully. I find it helps to wait for an optimum time - in my case, ideally, rested, reasonably cheerful, no major pains, good weather, reasonable route, etc. Good luck !
Yes definitely agree with Gillma, give yourself the best chance of success next time but there is one other thing to remember. You have been going out running regularly now for over three weeks. You know that doing so is making you stronger because the muscles etc respond to being worked. Today, you went running ( to the point of exhaustion, or at least until you felt you could not go any further). Now (hushed voice), no one has told your legs, lungs or whatever gave up first that you didn't complete the full run as intended, all they know is they were pushed to perform ( again ) like the other days. π±So, they will be stronger next time and if you are mentally in a better place, you will succeed.
And I love that saying about any run ( good bad or indifferent) being better than no run.
Don't be put off, you made progress today that's what counts.ππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌ
