Repeating A Week?

I've come to the end of W4 and W5 looks absolutely terrifying. W4 has been OK but I feel like I would really benefit from having a few more goes at it before moving on to W5. Has anyone felt the need to repeat a week and has it been beneficial?

I'm starting W5 tomorrow having finished W4 on Friday, my aim is to nail next week.

I'm not tempted to repeat W4 but I will repeat W5 if I struggle

If week 4 has been ok, believe in yourself and go for week 5.

Carry on.

The programme takes you on.... so, keep it slow and steady and trust it... and have faith in yourself :) x

I'm at the same stage, but week5 day1 looks like a nice step up from week 4 , I'm thinking at some stage I'm gonna have to repeat some of it ,but I don't think it matters, its not like we are going to be olympic athletes at the end of week 9.

If i had to repeat any part of it it would be Week 5 day 1 as it seems to me a big jump after W5D1 . I don't see any harm in repeating weeks, when you look back at it and you have been running a while I'm sure this part (the couch25k part) is the most interesting part of running

Stick with the programme, it works! You will nail wk 5. Go get it runner!

Thanks so much everyone! I'll go for W5. I've felt ready for all the other new weeks but this time it's quite daunting. I think it's the biggie at the end of the week! Probably a self preservation thing, I don't want to end up feeling like I'm not managing it. You've all spurred me on though, thank you! xx

The step up is really not that huge and you have been prepared by the process to be able to cope. Just believe that you are actually capable of doing way more than you think.......... keep it in proportion, of course.

Repeating the last week won't do you any harm, but facing up to the challenges is what creates a runner. So much from here on in is in the head..........so, as I said.......... BELIEVE.

We all felt daunted by Week 5 Jen , but trust the plan you will be able to do it... and it feels great.😊 Nice and steady..onwards and upwards..

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

I repeated odd runs not whole weeks. For example I did w4r3, found it a struggle so did r3 again. Then I moved onto w5. Once past w5 I haven't repeated runs so I'm not sure how much was of the struggle was physical, it was probably more mental. The plan works, just believe in it and yourself! (I'm a 43 year old, overweight lady who is about to start week 9. Whoop whoop)
