Done it! and before I turn 60 (birthday tomorrow). Time 36:23, that will do nicely for starters.
So my next challenge is to get my time down to 30mins, I think that's going to take a while but I will definitely continue with Park Runs.
For anyone hesitating about their first Park Run, get registered now and give it a go, everyone involved is very friendly and welcoming.
Many thanks to the people who encouraged me after my last post. The support and encouragement is wonderful and continues to keep me motivated, thank you everyone.

It was supposed to have been my first park run yesterday. My daughter and I got ourselves organised and drove to the park when it absolutely poured down with rain. Very disappointed we abandoned that idea, drove back home and would you believe the sun came back out. So back in the car and this time we ran our 5K ( my Week7run1) along the sea front. Slowly at 44mins but still happy to have actually run and not sat indoors in the rain !! Like you I am 60 in August and very happy to have discovered this running adventure .Also very blessed that my very fit daughter is happy to run/jog/shuffle at times with me !!! Funny how life turns out, from a tiny babe in arms to encouraging her 'old' Mum.
Congratulations on your 60th & first park run!! So glad you managed to do it & a great time - our timings were similar & I'm 13 yrs younger so you should feel proud!! Have a fab birthday & enjoy your post 60 runs!!
