Running in New York

I will be staying in the Yonkers district of New York for a week at the end of May. Has anyone on here run in this area and if so do you have any advice on where to run. In general, is running in NY Safe? (I know that many people run in central park but that is too far from my hotel)

the hotel has a gym as a last resort.

Maybe you could ask for advice in your hotel?

Thanks. Yes I will.

Yes, I agree with Curly - hotel concierges are great at suggesting running routes. Also, check out Strava to see if there are heat maps or whatever they are called in that area (heat traces?) or look online for local running routes. Have a great time, and report back!

The area around the hotel seems to have a number of parks with walking/running trails so it looks like I will be spoiled for choice! Full report on my return.

Have you looked online too? A search for something along the lines of "popular running routes around XXX" might throw up something.

Thanks. I did but there were so many routes that I was hoping to filter them down with some recommendations. ☺
