It poleaxed me yesterday while I was out prepping veg beds. It had been brewing for a few days. I had to down-tools, go home and hit the sack. Slept for four hours, ate then went back to bed.
Got up this morning and ran a 10k. Not quick as I felt shite but I did it. So glad I got out there as I felt better nearing the end
As well as what Big R said, maybe first time just go out with a walk in mind and then if all feels ok start with gentle running and assess again accordingly
Please don't worry about losing progress, there is a lot of BS out there about "If you miss one days training it takes WEEKS to get back to where you were".
I am down and out today! Feeling yucky! I had a long lie in. Propped up in in bed cos couldn't stop coughing. Maddening thing is, I never coughed or sneezed while running yesters, nor did I have to stop to blind me nowd.
Well, they say feed a cold ... I cooked a proper Sunday dinner today and ate it all up. OH went out and bought back throat and cough sweets for me, bless im. So,hopefully a quieter night and back to running tomorrow. Just a short one, thankfully.
