Well, I did step one, I actually made it off the couch!
I have completed week one, run one. My 15 year old daughter is doing it with me. I thought she may be the one to give up, however, I found my first run so much harder than I thought I would. I'm now happy to take bets on who will be the first of us to throw in the towel and in which week?!

Well done on getting started. Now think positive about each week as it comes. From what I have read if you keep going and keep coming back here, no towel throwing required 🙂
Well done. My first week was much harder than I though too. Day 1 thought I would never get through it. Stick to it, follow the plan it does all come together and you will start feeling great. You can do this x
Honestly it really does get easier - when I started I could barely huff and puff my way through 30 seconds of running, and yesterday I ran for just over an hour, no problem.
Keep going! I thought I was going to die on my first run and gave up half way. My second run was amazing though. I actually completed it! The sense of achievement (yes I know, run 1) was wonderful
Now I'm just about to start my second week and am determined to do it.
Just make sure you do your rest days and follow the program. Repeat a run if you need to but slow and steady improvements will be your reward. Good luck!
Well done on getting out, that's the first step. I've just done w1 r3 today. Run 2 felt a bit easier personally as it was less of a shock. Keep posting on here, the community is great for motivation.
Well done! You can both do this - in fact, you can all do this! Just follow the programme, and if in need, slow down. Speed comes later. All the best with it!
Hi. Well done on getting started. I couldn't ever imagine running for 30 mins either but have just graduated. If you follow the programme & listen to your body you'll be fine. You & your daughter can keep each other motivated. Don't worry if a run doesn't go well, you can repeat anything you like. I needed 2 days off after the later runs & had little breaks due to hols & being hungover after a wedding! Good luck!
Sounds like great advice. Thanks. It sure is hard to imagine running for 30 mins when I found 60seconds so difficult. It's early days though so I'll keep positive and keep coming back here. Thanks for the motivation 😊. V.
