The day the magazine plops on the mat I always feign great disappointment while secretly fist punching the air in relief at not having to do marathon training through the winter months.

If I got a place I would, of course, do it, but it would be a lot of hours of extra running a week which would have to be at the expense of other training.

Yes they have different pictures. As a booby prize I got sent a top. Why on earth would I want a top from a race I haven't even done!!!!!

I got one of those too, tried peeling the shiny stuff off but you can still see the writing. It's a good top but I can't really justify wearing it. Might try some indelible ink.

I did it once ( the ballot not the actual marathon)....not bothered since. Not sure I could handle all the crowds and tarmac.... good luck!!!!
