Yesterday was my 1st runniversary; it's been quite a year.
For some unknown reason my 2016 New Years resolution was to run a 10K! I started without any support and managed to sprain my right ankle and so gave up. While watching the 2016 London Marathon I saw C25K advertised, and thought I would give it a go. What a difference that and this forum has made.
It's been a year of highs and lows, at work and in our family life. Running has helped create some 'me' time. Although I prefer to run outside I've also learnt that running on the treadmill works for me during the dark mornings. Stretching is my friend before and after the run. The programme is for life not just for 9 weeks. I have completed the full programme and also this Spring I have repeated weeks 4 - 9 having got out of the routine over Winter.
So at the 1st year Runniversary I am running 30mins regularly. I might fulfill that New Years resolution some time. 🌻🌻
