Anxious about W5R3

I've just completed W5 R2 and so far I've found everything challenging but managed it. I cant help thinking that 20 minutes of running is a massive jump and fairly unacheivable and so I'm putting off doing it. Is it possible? Is there an easier way?!

have a search on this subject in the forum. You will find

1.) Almost everyone thinks this.

2.) Almost everyone comes back a couple of days later elated at their achievement

3.) Almost everyone then questions why W6R1 is back to intervals.

In answer to your concerns:

- no it is not a massive jump. It is less running than you did on D2. Just wwithout the walk inbetween.

- no it is not unachievable. It is less running than you did on D2 and pretty much everyone achieves it first go. If it was unachievable they wouldn't programme it that way. Trust the programme.

- yes it is possible. See above

- there isnt an easier way of following C25k than following C25k. None of the runs are easy per se, but they are all doable. What makes it more difficult is second guessing and having doubt in yourself and the programme. you just ran for 16 minutes with a brief walk in the middle. You can run 15 without.

RIgnold said it. It's amazing how many times I thought, "good grief man, that's too much of jump, I can't do that", then I did it and thought, "wow, I have energy to spare!". Just go for it.

Two things. a) it IS a massive jump and b) it can be done. It is totally do-able. I felt just the same as you. Never believed I could do it but I did!!! I have gone from total couch potato to energetic tortoise. :-)
