when you say you struggled, did you actually get through it but it was hard? Or can you not finish?

If you get through it but it's hard, maybe slow down (yes you're probably going slow already, but go slower) and maybe do another day of week 4.

If you can't get through week 4 and have to stop then perhaps an extra day of week 3 will give you a little boost, or again slow down.

Make sure you're having your rest days, make sure you're drinking plenty water every day, make sure you're eating enough protein. And go slow.

I think you should see how run three goes, remember to go slow (!) and then decide if you want to do a run 4 of week 4 or move on to week 5.

Personally I found run 1, of all the weeks, super tough, run two was okay, and then I loved run 3.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You will be ready for the next week, the program makes sure of that.

Good luck!!

Nope.... just carry on and slow it right down.. slow and steady and just one gentle foot in front of the other. An extra rest day may help you, if you feel you need it... or a bit of strength and flex exercise..:)

Warm up well, make sure you are hydrated and then relax into that run, knowing you will do it :)

Remember, there is no such thing as too slow..:) as Confucius said,

"It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop

".

Thanks everyone, will have a rest day tomorrow then try it on Friday.I think some of the trouble is that I have been doing quite a lot of classes at the gym too but have got nothing for 2 weeks now as go to Blackpool on Monday for 10 days so can concentrate on running x
