After advice from jamsammich and Rignold I bought a foam roller to help with the soreness in my calves - wasn't sure whether I hated it or loved it! I will go with the latter as it got me back out (apprehensively) and I loved it! Thanks guys.

Really? You must be doing it wrong then. Unless you are a masochist.

Love that pain. It is worth it.

Seriously? :o I was hoping twice a week would be sufficient.

I will fess-up, I use after every run, and occasionally in between if I feel there is a need. However I'm pretty sure Rignold is going to be right on this, given his expertise! The thing is, the more you use it the less painful it is to use.

I believe him but I would rather not :D

I use mine several times every working day. I find it's great for positioning on the window sill so that it blocks the sun from causing a glare in my computer monitor.

I don't use mine very often and never on inflamed tissue.
