week 6 cream crackered update

After getting all emotional at completing week 5 i had the weekend off and planned to chillout until monday for start of week 6 . Now what is that old adage ? men plan and god laughs, boy did he laugh , now being ex smoker and drinker for 5yrs he goes and gives me a bout of bronchitis , the sod . so weekend spent feeling like a bag of rancid spuds andtoday not much better but i had a drs appointment to get script for stuff i havent used in 5 yrs , so im not a happy bunny . Now being in that mood theres no way im sitting on a bus ,so i walk. the walk is about 3miles so off i go . 5 mins into walk i decide to have a go at w6r1 , well whats to lose if it dont go well ? its a practise run lol . well blow me sideways it does go well and i completed r1 albeit puffing and panting like a knackered pit pony . Now i really do get the small segment runs and walks about being stamina building. took a look at r2 and i dont see anything there to frighten me , so thursdays gonna get smashed and sat/sun should see me do the magic 3k which was all i ever wanted to achieve , however i feel i have to go on until week 9 and clobber that

Well done...but ( you know what;s coming don't you? ) just take it steady!

Bronchitis can be really weakening... and you need to be chest healthy to run.. ( above and below the neck rule).

Yep I know... just me, being an old woman.. but... you can make yourself worse! Rest up, lots of soothing drinks... and see how you feel !

Okay.. lecture over.. heal and feel better soon x

I agree with OldFloss - take things slowly and rest up while you recover.
