Sorry not posted 4 a while ,well where to start . Managed to consolidate my 30 mins runs during may every other night and stepped it up to 33 mins , being the 10% recommended . Week 1 went well , albeit with the toxic 10 15 minutes ( do they ever go ? ) . Was really getting into it and then on 2nd week i take the 1st of what im sure will turn out to be many tumbles . Smashed my hand up , battering the schophia bone , lucky just heavy bruising but ending up with pulling tendons in the arm + thumb . Luckily knee pads saved my knees scraping etc but boy was they stiff . Was off for the week . So sunday evening approx 2300 ive decided its cooled down enough to give it a spin . I done the 33 min and only covered 3.2k , i wasnt too upset with that, it was still like 22c out there and me and the heat get on as well as Millwall and chelsea lol . Got another one planned for this evening so hopefully will be posting a more positive vibe , innit

I'm not 100% sure but I thought the 10% was on distance rather than time? Eg. So of you manage 3 x 3k a week that is 9k overall so the following week can aim for 3.9k..? Or maybe it's 3.3k....? Maybe someone can clarify!
As runlikeagirl says, the 10% rule is applied to distance, not time, and is based on your total weekly distance. I did do a post explaining the rule after I had mistakenly believed that it was, as you say, time based.
