Hey, I was wondering if anyone here recently bought a pair of vegan running shoes? I am trying to find what is suitable for my needs, ie, not obsessed with speed or pace but rather need something to go reaaally easy on my knees (I heard at some point it becomes a trade-off, but perhaps not an issue for any of us here, at least not for me.) So, I really don't know much about where to look. Sketchers have some vegan options but I've never had them before. If you have any ideas, please please please share!
PS: Vegan shoes = not only more obvious stuff like leather etc but also the glue they use should be free of animal products.

There is a group called 'vegan runners' , I don't know anything about them , but perhaps if you searched on them that would help?
Good luck with your search, it's a bit like make up isn't it, loads of stuff has been tested or used from animals, but isn't anymore, but we've got where we have today from the previous testing/using regimes.....don't you just love science!
Ah, I also hadn't until less than a year ago. Some brands start to release vegan styles, like doc martens for boots or toms for summer shoes and sandals, which makes it very convenient to search for things and buy responsibly. It sounds funny to many people to talk about vegan shoes when they are not leather, but here we are... Mine is just a very basic idea that if I have options for which no animals are killed or used or abused or used or tested or whatever, ok, I choose that. (if I can find a pair of running shoes hahahah)
Thank you very much for this link. It's been a while that I didn't check anything on peta, should've done it though. Do you have any particular pair among these that you use and like? Just to have an idea. I don't wanna end up buying what the salesperson thinks good for me, but for that I should know what I want =D
Hi stifterin . I'm a vegetarian and aspiring vegan...I try to be careful with things like this too. I'm pretty sure Asics make most of their shoes vegan. They mark on their boxes a code to show that they are. I don't have any of my boxes to hand but it's just something simple like a 'v' that they put on it to show they are vegan. If you check their wensite its probably mentioned. Hope that helps.
I have only one pair of asics (every day shoes, leather -boo-, from ten years ago I guess) and I never liked them. Well... pretty shoes, but not comfortable. Now I'm hearing asics trainers more and more, and started to think that I should give it another try. The above-mentioned peta lists also have more than one asics on it. If you have time, can you tell me which ones do you have/like most? In any case, thank you for the tip, it definitely helps a lot!
