Hi

As im sure those that read and respond to my posts (thanks a million) know that im using the Zenlabs app which has the same goals as the nhs app but a slightly different format .

The main difference is it only takes 8 weeks instead of 9 weeks but the main goal of running for 30 mins is the same in the last week .

my question is will this forum accept this as completion of the c25k

I dunno, but someone will tell you shortly. the Graduation badge awarding panel might have to sit in emergency session to decide 😀🏅👨‍⚖️

Loads of people have done the Zenlabs programme. I started off with it, but it was unstable, kept crashing and I wasn't too enamoured of the American voice. So when a holiday came along I just sort of stopped. A few months later I did the NHS programme and got on better with it.

I'm sure the powers that be will accept 8 weeks instead of 9. But it's not for me to decide!

If you have done 8 weeks of a structured programme and have then run 30 mins three times, Id say that makes you a graduate ! But I think our admin fairies will be the experts on this😀

Well done on your achievement runner! Just a few more weeks to those 30 minute runs 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻

You could just add two more 30 mins runs and it would be the same ;)

Usually we are quite strict, no less than 9 weeks running and three runs at 30 min. This is what the NHS suggests is the minimum to bring your joints and muscles up to the task of running injury free.

It is an honour system so if you ask for you badge before that we don't double check what you have done but if you tell us you've only been running for 8 weeks we would ask you to wait a week.

It's not that we are being mean it is because, you know that old saying give and inch. We have had people in the past doing all the runs, one after the other with no rest days then being competitive about how quickly they have graduated and it has brought a lot of disruption to the site and even lead to people leaving so we say the rules are the rules.

We have this great forum because the NHS think that it is a great motivator for their app and program so as admins we cannot be seen to promote other C25K apps even though we know others are used, we quietly support all our members without making a big deal about it.

So I guess what I'm trying to say we try to accommodate all our members but if you give us conclusive facts against the rules we have to act on that!

thanks for the information and i can see where your coming from

Providing i get to run for thirty mins with zenlabs on week 8 i will not stop there as this is hopefully an on going thing and i will be at least continuing running 30 mins a few times a week but the real hope to to increase form there to who knows how long so i have no problem doing the extra week

thanks brian
