I finally managed to get out to do my W6R2 but it was nothing but rubbish!
Went at the wrong time so there were walkers, dogs and other runners around,
I've been getting pain in my shins for the last few weeks when I do the walking bit but today it was during my running bit too,
After deciding that I might go back to the running shop to discuss how my new trainers, which help with my Morton's neuroma, might be causing the shin splints I avoided a massive puddle by walking out onto the grass only to realise that the rain had caused it to become a bog so now have really dirty trainers!
I stopped listening to Laura and got distracted with pain, wet feet and spectators that I simply gave up. Hobbled home, ate a Cadburys cream egg to calm me down and now I'm cross with myself. Cross for not stretching enough, cross for giving up, cross with myself for thinking that people are watching and judging me. I should have believed in myself to achieve the run.
P.S the only thing that was good was the lake and windmill I run around - it looks great in the sunshine!
