I originally started the plan in September and badly pulled my groin during Run 1 of Week 3. This time I went and got some proper running shoes and had my gait analysed. Other than some wee niggles at the top of my calf I've had no injuries this time. Now that my legs are used to it, I have no niggles.
This morning I tackled and managed Week 5 Run 3. I have been absolutely dreading it and was happy yesterday morning when I cancelled because of the weather. Couldn't use that excuse today, so off I went.
Only issue I had was that I was too far from home when it finished, messed up my timings. So I had to run some more to get home in a reasonable time. Also the first time I have my pace at under 7m/km.
I've read in other areas of the forum that Week 6 Run 1 can be tricky after this, and I will have 1 less days rest than normal but I guess I'll just need to keep pacing myself.
I'm sitting listening to the next runs podcast now, I like to know what's coming. They do like to reuse the music between the different weeks now.
