Week 1 first run: Joined today... planning my... - Couch to 5K
Week 1 first run
Good call. All the best and let us know how you got on.
Best of luck! I'm only a week ahead of you.
Good luck and enjoy it, its life changing
I've lost 20lbs since last October and I'm sure the running has been part of this weight loss - partly the exercise itself but also the sense of determination and the weekly success rate Couch25k has given me. I've done it in conjunction with a free app called MyNetDiary. I ran my first 5k race last Sunday ( 37.47 minutes) accompanied by Couch25k on my MP3 and loved it - it was a giant step for me as I started out a non-runner and thought I'd never get past W1R1!
That is fantastic, well done and look forward to your posts. As a food lover, I find it is only tracking food and calories, I have lost weight, I even put on weight while exercising - I thought I could eat anything now I was running. Alas, no, it all needs to work together
Just for the summer ...xx
Hi and welcome.
You will love this programme... great for body and mind...It is not intended as an aid to weight loss, but the fitness benefits are amazing and you may lose weight too
The old adage, eat healthily and move more, works.. as JoolieB1 says. i too, put a little bit of weight in with the running.. which was good for me Good luck this evening..keep posting and let us know how you go on?
PS
Curves are good
you can lose a good amount of weight through healthy eating and moving more, much more preferably 😀 You just have to stick at it and the weight will come off. Stick to it and you'll amaze yourself
