After my earlier post regarding what people listen to while running, I decided to try the Spotify app and see how what it had to offer.
So.... downloaded the app and selected the Running genre, nothing detailed . Firstly I was surprised to see that it asked me to start running to calculate my cadence.π€
After a few strides this was set and a few seconds later the playlist started. Faster than my normal music tempo, but still doable.
Stuck with the 4k distance again, to stay on the safe side, and managed to shave off 1.5 mins from the previous run. ππ Now I can't say if this down to Spotify and the faster tempo or general fitness levels are coming back.
So for those who want to try a very random playlist, I would recommend the Spotify app to all.

Thanks for the tip. I'm starting to think about what to listen too when I run after the end of the program so I'll definitely give this a looky thank you. Well done on the quicker run too
Thanks for the tip, i have been doing the speed training and have been surprised at how much the tempo of the music affects my running, have been looking at ways to find songs with a suitable tempo for my cadence, have been looking at AudioFuel but that requires preplanning so love the idea of Spotify, will ask my son nicely to add me to his account
Yes I use this too Saul , but not the one that matches songs to my running cadence . I use it for all the different playlists it's got , plus you can make your own up .
This was my first outing with it. I was quite surprised by the cadence feature, so decided to go with the flow. With the free version I don't think it allows you to make your own playlists. I'll probably have a play tomorrow night before Friday's run.
