Morning all, just checking in. Had a hernia op ten days ago, healing up nicely. Frustrated though that I can't get out in the park just yet... perfect conditions in London today... crisp and sunny... Hope to be out there by the end of Feb. Shout out to anyone else resting up through injury or surgery.

Heal well and you will be out there...you could pretend you are here in the Staffordshire Moorlands with me..Freezing fog, so no chance of a run..🙂

Just plan some great routes..and maye a spot of running retail therapy...? 😃

Thanks OldFloss. Cor, Staffordshire Moorlands sounds like a majestic setting (when the fog lifts)... We are lucky here though in my neck of the woods as we have a new route to run, round Woodberry Wetlands - opened by David Attenborough no less woodberrywetlands.org.uk/ab...

heal swiftly. It must be so fustrating, I live in London but have a medical test tomorrow so can't run either, it does look good out there though. If you give yourself the proper time to heal you'll be out there in no time. Go too soon and it will take ages. Patience really does work in this instance. Take very good care of yourself Rfc x.

Thanks Rfc. Sound advice. Best wishes for the test, hope you'll be back out there soon.

If you can get out into the park walking, go go go! You will know when you are ready to run, check with your clinical team.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for you! The park will still be there when you're better. :)

Thank you! All the best with your running melly4012

Hoping you will be out there soon. I too will try later this week as I am supposed to take 7-10 days out and that feels so long....but don't want to get out too soon! Try some walks as suggested and see how you feel. Amazing how the running shoes keep calling but the sensible gremlins say NO. I found route planning and retail therapy helped, oh and an inspirational running book to read too.
