The physio says my back is strong enough for me to start running again, so today I went to to Run 4 It in Dundee, was assessed by a charming almost-graduate in Sports Science, and have new shoes. Luckily the shocking pink ones were less suitable than the cool blues. They felt fine on the treadmill (actually, nothing felt fine on the treadmill - my first time using one and it was not an elegant performance) but I think they will be good.
I'm going to work on strength and stretch this week, then next Saturday, Husband and I will start again at W1R1. This time, this time I'll get there.

Love the shoes! They'd look great sitting by my front door inspiring me to get out there and just do it! Good luck with your all new C25K 👍
I don't like to say this because my friends ,If they knew, would rib me but "Nice shoes". I know what you mean about treadmills the only time I used one was at shop where I bought my shoes.
Have seen all the videos of everyone falling off them and felt like a trip to the dentist waiting to use it! But survived and didn't fall off it !
I was all over the place - scared and klutzy, but they could still see what my ankles were doing, how I tended to put my feet down and what part of my toes I was using. And no one laughed. I could have been my assistant's grandmother but took me very seriously, and thanked me for saying at the beginning what aspects of shoes I tended to have problems with, because it made his life much easier. He was great.
