Week6 Day2

Hopping on the scales this morning, i stared straight ahead, fully expecting to see a gain when I looked down, even though I've been such an angel with food you could probably see my halo and wings if you looked hard enough. Nary a crisp nor fast food item has so much as been wafted under my nose (even though the smell from a local chippy as I walked from work to the bus station was almost, ALMOST enough to draw me in, if only so i could inhale more of the smell of frying chips) but to my surprise and delight, the diet-deities (GottaLossalotta and Workoutho) rewarded my piety, sacrifice and utter devotion with a 3lb loss!

Thus spurred on by this, I donned my kit and headed out, accompanied by Mam who offered to walk with me as I did my run. The first 10 minutes passed not quickly but they did pass and by the time it finished I was past where I usually turned around in week 1. However because it was 6.30am, rather than drive to the park, I decided to go along the road by the house.

I am starting to wonder if a vibe goes out when I go along that road. When Mam goes there's never a car but the second I set foot out there "Quick! Theshrinkingbride is running along the road! Go drive past and stare!" - I dislike it less than when I started but the headlights in my eyes puts me off. Oh well, the programme's nearly over and my Rainbow Run is coming up (last count put my sponsorship, once everyone pays up, at £130 ^_^ )

Congrats on getting through W6R2 - I'm enjoying running for 2.5 mins at a time, so looking ahead to 10 whole minutes is exciting but a little scary. You must be pretty proud of that change as well as the weight loss.

Do you have an online donation page you can share with us, or is that against forum rules?

Good luck!

Don't worry about other folk, just do your session and enjoy it.

Great news on the weight loss. It won't be like that every week but just hang in there. Once you've made even minor changes to your diet (for the better) you will sustain a healthy weight loss to get you where you want to be. If you keep running it will get you there quicker. You have to stick with it. It's a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix

Good luck!
