I made it through 1st week run 1. It was tough doing the last two 60 sec. runs but completed. Enjoyed a nice cold drink and a Banana afterwards. Feeling quite proud of myself.

1st Run Completed PJS1764
Well done - that first run is one of the very biggest hurdles, and you've done it! Rest day tomorrow, then run 2
Well done, C25K best thing I ever did. If you can do 1 run then believe me you can do the rest. I thought at first it was really tough and doubted I could carry on a t first but I always said to myself after each week "My legs ache. Well your legs ached last time but you still did it. Don't be a wuss and get on with it!"
Now I'm running 6K+ for 43 minutes. Not planning any marathons but have been increasing my time minute by minute every few weeks. Not worrying about speed. Once you are doing the 30 minutes continuous running then you can plan what you want to do.
I'm nothing special just like everyone else. Main thing is getting out there and as others say take it slow. Repeat if need be. I say to myself "Where's the fire".
Now my legs hardly ache at all . When I go down to running 5K it's like a walk in the park. Your body will just get used to it. also end every run with a big grin and feel great with weight down to top end of normal BMI and feel full of life.
Keep us all posted.
You certainly should feel proud. Already you're lapping everyone still on the couch. Keep going!
Well done you, I know how it feels, I have just done my second run of the first week. I really wasn't sure I would even manage the run today as the first one has seemingly turned my legs to lead! But it was ok, definitely better than the first one!
It won't be long before you look back and think, I can't believe I struggled with 60 seconds! You have just started the most incredible journey. Good luck ☺
Well done, you did it. I remember when it was first suggested that I should do some running, earlier this year, I thought it was a totally ridiculous idea, as I have never run in my life. It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it, and you've done well. Look forward to your next run.
Well done you! Many more completed runs and fabulous after-feelings to come! Keep at it!
