Keep on keeping on.....

So, after last week's first parkrun I was tempted to get out there again today but decided early on that this wasn't going to happen. Instead, i've been out a couple of times this week on the roads, covering 4.6km both times, in about 34 minutes, and I'm intending to get out again tomorrow for a New Year's Day run. It's been good meeting up with family, who have commented positively on how much better I'm looking, and even the scales are being forgiving at the moment - I've only put about 2lb on so far over Christmas, and I know I can shift that quickly when I get back to watching what I eat.

Seriously thinking though of heading up to the Asics shop at Cheshire Oaks to look for some proper Trail Runners as I don't think my Patriot 7s are up to trails, and the walking trainers are a bit heavy for running in.... any recommendations will be gratefully received!
