W9 R3 graduation run part 1

The picture above doesn't adequately show the horror-zontal soaking, stinging rain and sleet. I set out and after five minutes gave up.

I was DESPERATE to complete R3 so I was so disappointed but in 5 mins I was blinded by the storm whipping rain into my eyes so I went to the nearby gym to finish on the treadmill. It just wasn't working for me as I was wet to the pants, heavy legged, squelchy trainers etc.

I did 8 mins and canned it. Felt like an abject failure.

Determined to go out on Friday! Graduation within finger grasp!

Good move. You will enjoy your graduation so much more if you are not battling the weather as well.

Not a failure, just a postponement.

You are most certainly NOT a failiure , and we don't use the F word on here ! :-)

Cut yourself a bit of slack here, you have done this run twice , you can do it one more time . Think of what you have achieved to get this far !

I really hope the weather eases soon so you can get out there for your Graduation Run .

Good Luck, you can do this :-) xxx

You're a hero for even going out there in that weather. I've been very bad this week and haven't braved the wintry conditions at all. I've also eaten everything in sight so am turning into a big fat Christmas pudding. Assuming Barbara (the storm) clears off and doesn't send any pals round to replace her, you are going to start 2017 a graduate and that's all that matters. Chin up kiddo. x

Oh that's really disappointing I know, but . . . You've got tomorrow to have a go! Just think, to graduate on Christmas Eve! That would be super cool and just perfect, don't you think? Chin up, and best of luck for the big one! 😀😀💪🏻💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻🎓🎓

That's bad luck with weather! Good choice to come back fresh on another day..maybe tomorrow? Must be disappointing but will soon be forgotten when you graduate! Your a legend for trying against Barbara and certainly not the F worD. Very best wishes for next time.... weather permitting it's in the bag!😊🍾

Well at least you gave it a go ! Horizontal rain is usually sort of stuff get on West coast of Ireland.

Think Hurricane Barbara should be clearing ! Good luck with your next attempt.

Have a good Christmas.

Whatever day you do it, I'll be ready with the bells, balloons and whistles ;) I think you're a total warrior for even attempting it with Barbara! And don't you dare let me catch you using the f-word again! Big hugs xxx

Weather's not helpful at all at the minute. You have worked so hard for this so tomorrow will be the day. Not sure many of us could have done it in the last couple of days so not a failure at all. Good luck and I'll be right there with you :-) x
