Just under 2 stone over the last 9 months, i haven't changed my diet just really toned up and been a lot happier with my body and level of fitness. I've not changed weight over the past 3months but people are still commenting that I've lost weight. Are you looking to loose weight?

That's fantastic, yeah I would like to lose a couple of stone.,lost three so far from diet over last year or so but can't budge anymore hense I thought I would try this. Also giving up smoking so need some control!

I think this would be great for you then- there's nothing like running to turbo charge your metabolism. I think one of the best side effects is that even if I do eat things that I shouldn't it doesn't really matter cause I'll run it off. I didn't put a pound on over the christmas I did have my fair share of chocolates and goodies- winner! Good luck with it! x

I didn't go onto the C25K expecting to lose weight as such. After already reaching my target weight (I lost 36 pounds), I realised that if I wanted to maintain the weight loss, but eat a bit more, that I needed some form of calorie burning exercise to help me. I decided on the running as I'd tried it before but not to a proper programme and ended up with knee injuries from not taking rest days and not building up gradually.

So, now having graduated C25K, B210K and currently doing a ten mile plan which means running four times a week, I find I can eat pretty much what I want within reason and am staying within two pounds or so of my target weight. If I notice it's gone up two or three pounds and is not coming off, I simply cut out snacks for a week and it's usually back down to where it was.

As has happened with Jen, I've toned up and people still say to me am I still losing weight and don't believe me when I say no.

So glad I found this programme as when I've lost weight in the past it has gone back on again within a few months. This time I've maintained it for eight months and hopefully will manage to keep it up!!

Well done Carole, must be liberating to eat what u want. I've been on a restricted calorie diets for years. Always hungry and always feeling dizzy from lack of food :( I'm just one of those who looks at food and puts weight on, I'm not hung up on weight itself more how I look so toning up at least is positive. My bum really hurt today when I was running, is that normal ha ha

Hi Pricey,

Whereabouts was your bum hurting? If it's deep in the muscle, it could be your piriformis. Try googling piriformis stretches and see if those help. Otherwise, a good pair of compression shorts might help support!!

Im in week 4 - I also do zumba for an hour once a week and yoga.

I can majorly toned up and I love it! My abs are actually underneath that last bit of tummy podge. Real muscles!

Since starting c25k and with healthy eating I have lost 6lbs and I'm happy with that. The toning means that I have lost a few inches off my thighs, hips, waist and bust so I am happy :D I mention measurements because its important to remember that running builds muscle which is denser than fat per square cm - so you might not see the benefit of your hard work on the scales (due to new muscle) you will see a change in your measurements which is much nicer to see :D

I've already had to buy new running bottoms as my last ones nearly fell down in an awful wardrobe malfunction mid-zumba ;)

Inspiring to hear how much weight you've all lost!

I started Couch 2 5k plus weightwatchers just after Christmas and have lost half a stone since then. It's coming off a little too slowly for my liking, as I've another 3 stone to lose, but I have also noticed a difference in my measurements and I think doing exercise (I did none before) has got to benefit me.

I've out weight on! Granted only a couple of pounds and I was average weight anyway but still would've been nice to lose a little off the belly!

not really had any major weight loss but like carole am now being able to eat what I want without feeling too guilty. have given up meat so now eat quorn so maybe that helps. have noticed that my shape has changed more than weight loss. wobbly arms now more toned (hardly anything moves now when I wave!) & bottom has moved upwards & is definately more toned. also I had lumpy upper knees due to slouching to one side when standing & the lumps are almost gone now. cant say I have noticed any major change around my belly but I dont do any other exercise really, other than run. maybe I need to do a bit of pilates to tone this area.

I'm not sure what I weighed when I started but when I was last weighed 3 weeks ago I had about 15kg to lose. My next weigh in is at the end of the 9 weeks so I am hoping to have shed something. I have been eating much the same as usual so it will be interesting to see if I have lost weight.

I have been doing this plus my own healthy diet for 6 weeks and have only lost 5 lbs, A bit soul destroying but I do feel a lot fitter and have loads more energy so that's a bonus :) Keep up the good work folks xxx

dont be disheartened. I think you may notice a little more weight loss once you start running the last few weeks. & the extra energy you have is definately a bonus :)

if you are like me I was amazed at how quickly it is for your breathing to get back to normal after a run now. I really couldnt get over this after panting all the way through the first few weeks. X
