well, after a good period of pain free knee, I decided to pop out for a test run this morning.... I dragged myself out of bed and headed for my old friend the river. Wasn't sure where I should be going back to in the programme but went for 25 minutes - I'd got to run 2 of week 8 and missed a couple - but after 20 I was distracted by some noisy rustling in the nature reserve and spotted these two sweet new friends! That was the end of my run as I slowed to a stalking walk π They were so close, and made my morning... until I chatted to a grumpy dog walker coming the other way who grumbled nothing would be done and that the foxes would savage them as they wouldn't be able to get out the reserve (I bit my tongue that the fence is waist height and easily jumpable) and if they did get out it would be onto the main road the other side of the reserve where they'd get run down... and a good morning to you too!!
Anyway, tactically iced my knee once back. Really hope it's ok as I've missed being out. Probably won't complete the c25k before Christmas which had been my goal but hey ho!
Happy running ππ»ββοΈ

Hope your knee is going to be ok now. Sensible to ice it after your run. It doesn't matter if you don't manage to complete the programme before Christmas π you can think of it as one of the first things you achieve in the new year! ππππΌββοΈππ»ππΌββοΈππ»ππ»ππ»
What a lovely way to get going again, seeing those two - it's the sort of thing where the time we were going to run just has to be forgotten because that can be done any time but an opportunity to see the deer this well is very special. Hope your knee continues well.
