26:52 - it's a PB!! π Ran the second half in just under 11 mins which is a good effort - slowly conquering the inclines too π The slower first half was in part having to slow for traffic and folks out walking but managing that bit faster up those inclines

Climb the hill slowly and steadily. As you get fitter, and your legs, core and upper body get stronger you will notice you can run on once atop the hill, whereas before you might collapse with exhaustion and burning throat π I still run hills slowly with small steps. Hard work but the abs don't half improve π
I can run up a hill now with almost no issues! (the issues being cars passing me by and having to slow for them!) Makes the Parkrun thing even more confusing! I think the more I do 5k runs,the better I'm getting and can now comfortably do them,pacing when my body lets me know it's too much or not enough but it doesn't want to tell me the former now! I don't feel out of breath so much now - the breathing techniques Laura mentions in the podcasts work really well for me
