Flossie22's Christmas Crossword (well, I know, it's a bit early, but it's alliterative ;) )

Flossie22's Christmas Crossword (well, I know, it's a bit early, but it's alliterative ;) )

Firstly I must apologise to those who are not mentioned in this crossword. You are all amazing. I am not a crossword compiler, so I actually found this really hard, but I hope that some of you will get some fun out of this. The answers are all user names of some of the fabulous people on this forum. However if there are hyphens in their names, these have been excluded. Numbers, however, have been included. Some of the clues are straight, some are cryptic, some are a bit of a mixture!

Also apologies for the handwritten format. Not very professional, I know, but I am an amateur, after all :) Since edited, so is now a little bit smarter :)

You can message me your answers, I don’t want you spoiling it for the rest, and if you need help with a clue at all, just let me know. To make it more C25K-y, I want you all to time yourselves and see if you can solve the crossword in less time than you can run/walk 5k. All correct answers win a virtual giant tube of smarties with your favourite lid colour AND with your initial on the bottom of the lid! How amazing is that! :)

  • Great crossword. Look forward to doing that but might take me longer than I can run. Brain not as good as my legs. Takes me ages to do crosswords !

At first I read it as do crossword whilst doing C25K. As we were discussing I was imaging falling into canal while doing your crossword !

By the way started run bit later today had to wait for Engineer to fix a meter. Did well 40 minutes and 6K mainly up and down canal and now familiar hill. .And getting through the heavy drizzle (first really wet run for me).

At least I worked out who Mr Baggy Pants is !!

  • LOL LOL πŸ˜‚ As if I would suggest you do the crossword whilst doing C25K! I'd have health and safety round in a trice. πŸ˜‚ You take as much time as you need, everyone is a winner, if you like giant tubes of smarties that is. The problem for you is that you run too fast, not that your brain is slow πŸ˜€ Have fun, but sssh, don't give away any clues! πŸ˜€

  • Also problem of reading faster than my brain can think too.

  • This is absolutely amazing..... I am going to have a proper stab later ... Love it :)

  • Oh thank you Ju Ju, any problems, let me know! Have fun x

  • Brilliant!

  • I'd like to know if people recognise themselves immediately or whether I am way off! Have fun! X

  • I recognised myself straight away!

  • Wow! That's totes amazeballs, as I like to say to annoy my teenagers. :) Speaking of whom, they will be looking after themselves till I solve this.

  • πŸ˜‚ LOL LOL, Thank you AnneDroid. Don't know if it is perhaps too easy or too hard, but hopefully just a little bit of recreational fun for all my new found Cyber buddies! "Totes amazeballs", love it! X

  • That's amazing, well done, I will have a go. Being dyslexic I have a love/hate with crosswords but still enjoy giving them a go πŸ˜€.

  • Thank you, I hope you can work some of them out. I left out hyphens because I found it hard to incorporate them, plus hoped that it would be simpler without! πŸ˜€

  • Great work - but it might take me until Christmas to solve it!

  • No problem, you could try to solve one or two clues a day! πŸ€”πŸ˜€

  • Flossie, this is just brilliant !

I am rubbish at crosswords, I end up just putting a random word in , just to fill it in if I get stuck. Ha ha ! :-D

You are so clever, thank you so much for doing this, great job ! :-) xxx

  • Thank you! I hoped some might enjoy having a go at recognising some of the great characters on this forum. I think I should try to have a go at a second one once I have completed B210K, if people enjoy this one! 😊 xxx

  • Oh, and you may recognise some characters without too much difficulty πŸ˜‰

  • :-D xxx

  • Oldfloss you are easily identified here :-)

  • Brilliant! And yes, I identified myself :-D

  • Oh well done you! And thank you. πŸ˜€

  • Well done you. Clever stuff. I recognised my self and quite a few hours while some may take a little longer to recognise.

  • Thank you. Well done for getting however many so far! Enjoy your run tomorrow if you go. I think I might run a different route tomorrow morning. May go uphill first and not by the river. Think my little brick and flint bridge route may be flooded in places. ☹️
