Download C25k podcast or app and get moving. Once you've got moving

don't stop. If you need motivation we give kicks up the ar*e for free.

Parkrun is what comes towards the end of the programme. Often folks choose the final run of the programme and do it at Parkrun.

There are bound to be loads of running groups near you. The local authority will have details, or just ask around.

Failing that, download C25k and get cracking.

Thanks for taking the time I will read again and do some research,

Well done for taking it up again. C25K Best thing I've done. I used to think I was reasonably fit before doing C25K. Used to cycle 2 or 3 days to work but the running definitely helped get my weight right and bring me to hovering 1 or 2 lbs near normal BMI Now. Feel really great.

Back in March couldn't run for a bus now regularly running 5 to 6K 2 or 3 days per week. A good habit I don't want to give up !
