Inner soles

For those that run a lot I guess this is a good topic to use as I don’t enough. But I have noticed that they can be just as expensive as a pair of trainers and some trainers are expensive, and paying for a new pair of soles will save having to fork out on a even more expensive pair of trainers. As well as improve comfort but I was wondering what your guys thoughts on them are, as in is it worth investing in decent ones or not?

It ls important to have a good pair of shoes and insoles as well, just before I got a pair of Brooks Glycerin 16 Running shoes I ran a 5K in ordinary trainers, my left foot in particular got quite sore afterwards and I didn't run again for a week until I wore my new shoes, insoles are important for you to have in your shoes.

You don't need insoles.. unless you 'need' them :) Are your shoes the correct ones.. for you?...

Well I loved the Adidas turtle dove by Kanye West, I off the chance got some fake ones off eBay and the inner soles would pretty much shred up, can’t get them anymore so I am onto Nike Air vapormax I find them amazing so much spring in them soak up the swan, geese and dog turd 💩 with their bevelled air bubble soles to save on weight, I think they are amazing but have been advised to go for the harder typed soled trainers 👟. All I have read is that inner soles are great for the more serious runner as they are replaceable and often anti microbial so stop them smelling and prolong the life of them etc etc...it is just there are so many, you could probably go tesco or pound shop an pick up a multi pack or spend more then on a pair of trainers 👟 if getting them fitted. Like I say I have got the self fitting ones you cut to size and find they are pretty much crap either to thin or to thick

I had gait analysis at a specialist running shop and was told that your shoes should do what you need them to do so you shouldn’t need to buy insoles.

My local store fits them and moulds them to the shape of your feet 🦶, I am wondering what the benefits are or if it is worth the hefty price tag considering I could buy some for that price.

A few of mine have worn out but when you can spend £170 on a pair of high store street trainers 👟 you would expect them to be alright , is there any brand that is known to be decent; my experience at least has been hit and miss with value lidl cut out ones that just come loose and cause more problems or even pinch 😔 and cause me to be sore, maybe bled a bit too lol
