I found that the most difficult part of running the parkrun prior to graduating is the fact that I'd run a little bit faster than I usually do, trying to keep up with the people around me, which is why I always struggle with my 3rd run for the week.
Today I ran and for the first 5 minutes I had to focus on slowing down and ignore everyone sprinting past me. It felt good passing the 3km line and I still felt amazing!!
I finally feel as if I've graduated week 7 fair and square. I'm done with it.
Oh, and because I'm super ditzy and ran more in my head than on the road I kinda missed Laura saying that I should slow down and start walking, I guess the wind was quite bad and I couldn't hear the podcast half the time.
So... I kinda ended up running throughout the 5 minutes cool down walk and only started walking when my podcast stopped ☺️☺️.
Thank you so much for all the support I get here. After today I actually believe that I have the potential to graduate and be a runner. To think I used to say that unless zombies are chasing you, why do you need to run lol.
I can now be obnoxiously annoying and say that I run because I love it! 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
