Sometimes we can feel that our running is getting worse rather than better.
One time when I was feeling frustrated about that in my own running I turned to my friend Google.
I had only got as far as typing in "running getting" when all these suggestions came up! Plenty other people had been there before me!
Sometimes just realising we're not alone is all that's needed. (And of course that's why this Forum is a blessing).
By the way there are lots of reasons why it may occasionally FEEL as though we're getting worse. The one "reason" that's NOT true is that we ARE getting worse, though. We do not get worse at things by practising them.

I've also found that if I anticipate having a bad run and I think about how long those 25 minutes are going to be and the wind's blowing and,and,and... I'm making it really terrible for myself. I now try to run on the wave of my last good run. It seems to be working for me 😊
I was going to say something about how similarly bad the hot Spring weather with 30km wind is here in Cape Town but I just finished reading DailyMail and the warning about Angus and realised that I actually have nothing to worry about. Good luck to you!
Too true. all you have to do is as many say here is get out the door and get started. SassyAushie is right it's mainly mind over matter !
When you think about it you never know if be successful or not until you get into it and make a start. Loads of examples from history. Also look at Leicester City I think in December 2015 bottom of Division and won Premier league Championship !
Remember the song called "high hopes" by Frank Sinatra about the Ant went something like:-
Next time your found, with your chin on the ground
Haha! Good old Mrs Google. The one that cracks me up is if you type the words " how do I......" the first one that pops up is "how do I get home". The mind boggles. Although maybe we were all trying to get home after Flossie22 's party!
