Any advice?

I have just got back from my run W8 R3 and I seem to have really bad groin strain. I could feel it slightly as I was running, but I kept going.

Now I'm back it is very painful. Does this mean that I haven't warmed up or cooled down properly? Has anyone else had the same?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Is it a strain or just tight muscles? If it's a strain then yes you maybe need to warm up more but if it's tight muscles then stretch well after each run.

In the colder weather we need to spend more time warming up. I go for at least 10 minutes these days.

I noticed this towards the end of week 8 too. I found as I was running quicker I was increasing the length of my stride too much. Maybe try taking smaller steps when you run, it seemed to help me - hopefully it will for you too.

Don't over stride. it could be just a niggle. Hope so ☺

I got a pain in my groin post half marathon and it really hurt. I did a stretch I see footballers do. the one where they appear to be lifting their bent leg over a chair back. I did several and it worked.
