I've completed week 4 and it's been quite easy getting to this stage as though i never tried running before this I'm a regular cyclist and reasonably fit, just in my mid-40s and I need to tone up & lose about a stone... but I have been actually quite enjoying it! Which i did NOT expect...And I run in a nature reserve so it's been lovely getting out there... but I'm bricking it about week 5 run 3; I've caught a cold & ive got no energy at all and I think it would be a struggle anyway as there are a couple of steep hills on the route. Scared!

Hi Snorkmaiden , it is a great program isn't it. You are doing brilliantly, but I agree with runswithdogs , maybe a few days to get over your cold would help. W5R3 is totally doable, but you do need to be in a positive frame of mind and if you have no energy at the moment may struggle. Rest up then go for it. Start it nice and slowly, you can do it and will surprise yourself. Get well soon😊
Hey snork. I know the feeling me and the mrs have our w5 r3 planned for Sunday. Not gonna hold my breath on a good result but hey.........we've nothing to loose and everything to gain.
Thanks everyone. I shall feel less guilty about lurking under the duvet now! I might do week 4 again when I'm feeling better, just to get back into the swing of things.
