Did the first 3 runs indoors. Day 4 was a miserable weather day so just a brisk walk. Since then Work/Life totally taken over, and no run for last 3 days. Sick today so don't think I'll get outside. So disappointed with myself. Searching for some inspiration to get back on track.

Dunno what age you are jiggly, but the first time I had to break my schedule and was worried about it I reminded myself it took 56 years before. I managed that first minute. You won't be starting all over again when you do manage to rearrange your time -at the very least you know now week one is eminently doable. And so will the others. As for making time, if you had to hook up to a chemo machine -or if the person of your dreams wanted to spend time with you - three hours a week the times would make themselves apparent
Just wondering, have you been running every day? You say you have done the first 3 runs indoors and day 4 was a walk. I delayed even starting this for about 2 weeks until I was over my cold, the fact you are here and posting and even saying you are disappointed shows you do have the motivation there. Let yourself feel better, you wont do yourself any favors going out when you feel ill. Get back to it when you feel better.
I wouldnt rule out going out in the miserable weather, my first run was in the wind and rain and I enjoyed just bobbing along by myself, hardly anyone was out, the rain kept me cool and sometimes the wind was helpful when it was behind me.
I havent been here long but I can tell there is plenty of support here, everyone is rooting for you. Hope you are feeling better soon
Ooh jiggly , worry not. Do not be disappointed in yourself! It's doable for anyone but it's hard to get started and easy to get distracted. I did my first run (and many more) round my garden, holding onto my boobs for dear life through each 60 second jog! (I've since invested in a decent bra). It's easier if you set yourself a plan/goal. Pick yourself 3 days of the week that are going to be your 'running' days. It's only half an hour. Find a time that will be manageable and put it in your diary and tell yourself you will stick to it. It's partly mind over matter but if you have a wobble, just get yourself started again. That's the beauty of this programme, it's always there. Ready when you are. But the other beauty is this forum - we're always here! Ready with virtual hugs, help, advice and the odd kick up the proverbial! I certainly couldn't have got through this without the support on here and just look at the amount of people who have completed it. Young, old, thin, fat, tall, short, sensible, bonkers. If all these folk can do it, so can you. And believe me, it's worth it, you will feel so excited as you gradually realise what you are really capable of. Don't give up. We're all right behind you
You are so kind McFitty ... I think I am a little bit hard on folk sometimes... Hope you are feeling fitter? x
Ooh Oldfloss , you're never too hard. You're the voice of wisdom and reason, (with the loveliest touch of bonkersness), which is pretty much as good as it gets in my book. I am on the mend now (stood on one leg yesterday woohoo)! Still can't do steps properly but walking is good. I'm hoping another week should see me able to start up again. Are you still Grammyfloss-in-waiting?
Don't despair, if you need another couple of days from illness then take them, you will soon pick it back up. Just set yourself a day and go for it, but don't forget to take rest days!
Rain, wind, hail snow...? I know you are at the start, but weather is weather !
if you are ill, then rest up..otherwise. you have started, so... carry on. Slow and steady and with the right gear you can achieve anything!
You are the only thing stopping you.... so...this is the point, where you find out who you are.. and where you want to be...
Go on... go for it... you know you want to
