Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Write a list of all the reasons why you are starting this and when you can tick them all of as being achieved you can go back to slobbing out on the couch

Enjoy your journey.

Why did you start this? Has the reason changed? If not then you just carry on and, the best bit.. every time you run.. you get stronger... you feel fitter.. and the result of that is, you are more able to cope with extra work and long days...

You said yourself, you feel so much better when you run... it has already begun.

Set your running gear out in advance, plan your route and then, just run,,steady and slow, it is for enjoyment not endurance... relax and just let the work strain float away...:)

On you go!

The motivation comes from how you feel after! You know it will make you feel great.

Don't make any excuses NOT to go and finish this week's runs.. work will always be part of your day. You need to adjust to the fact you now run .

Give yourself a talking too and get your running gear on and head out. This is how a lot if people feel at first...push through and you will be pleased with yourself when you've been out for that 3rd run . Give yourself a reward after you've done it...

Well done for getting on the programme, I am on week 2 run 3 today and feel the same

Whatever you do don't stop , keep that desire to start and tell yourself running is positive and think of all the positives you feel when you have run.

You can do it go for it

I know how you're feeling but as many others have said, think about how you feel when you complete the run. It beats the shoddy feeling I had when ANOTHER excuse meant I didn't go out. And as mentioned, it's barely half an hour. We all have time for half an hour for ourselves. I look at how much time I fanny about with my phone and it's easy to find the time, really. You'll feel so much better doing it than not, go for it!

Not what you're looking for?
