If you run very slowly, you should be ok. It's normal to get niggles early on as your body gets accustomed to new levels of exertion. Your body knows something different is happening and complains! You can generally run off the niggles. Most of the early sessions are walking anyway, with just a few slow jogs.

Be sure to take a day off running between runs. you can do some other exercise, eg cycling, walking, swimming, dance or gym based exercise.

Hopefully you will be good to go again shortly. Good luck!
