Today was an odd day. I had lunch at 11 as I knew I wouldn't get another break until 4.30. On the way home I had chocolate as i was so hungry. I didn't have tea as I didn't want to run on a full stomach. I'm not sure if the chocolate gave me energy or made it more difficult. I changed my route and went on a housing estate. It had started to rain so I was fairly sure I wouldn't meet anyone. This made a lot of difference. The first 3 mins was hard, but by the time I got into the first 5 mins I was running somewhere new and didn't know how far I would get, so was surprised when Laura said I was half way through. The last five mins was hardish, but I managed it. Its funny now how long the five minute walk feels. I didn't have any pain in the usual places, but did get a bit of a pain in an ankle (never had that before). I've put ice on it, and its fine now. Onwards and upwards for week 5!!

good for you :) Personally I don't like running 'blind' - I like knowing where I am going and roughly where the halfway mark is. I'm entering my very first 5K run in November but will be walking and possibly taking a practice run of the course well before the day to get some 'markers' set :)

Well done africanali on finishing week 4.

It sounds like you are really getting to grips with this c25k programme mate. Nice one!

I also found a new route to run for my last run (w5r1) earlier this evening. :)

Unfortunately the painful ankle has returned this morning. I'm hobbling a bit, but I have 2 rest days now so I'll have to wait and see how it goes

Yeah, hopefully in a couple of days it will have healed nicely and it'll be stronger, all ready for your attack on week 5.
