.....but had to pull up after 14 minutes as my calf started cramping, it's never done that before, I rested, walked and stretched for 10 minutes then carried on, managed 30 minutes in total. I aim to graduate on Friday, it is my Dad's funeral so I will be up early getting myself in my 'lone zone' and taking myself on a whole new route to keep my mind off the funeral and the fact it might be my graduation.
Should have graduated today......: .....but had... - Couch to 5K
Should have graduated today......
Oh no. So sorry. Also look after yourself with your recent bereavement
That's going to be a heavy day for you dingdongthewitch ... Will be thinking of you on Friday. Hopefully your 'lone zone' run will be cathartic and leave you refreshed and ready to face the day ahead. I'll be running Friday and will be thinking of you. Good thoughts coming your way xx
I will think of you on Friday. Sad day. Take care xx
I will think of you on Friday. Hope the running goes well and sets you up in a good frame of mind to cope with your sad day.
Sorry for your loss. I hope Friday goes ok for you.
Hey dingdongthewitch, I'm really sorry your dad has left but it seems the running has enabled you to find "your space" that no one can intrude on. Good luck tomorrow, we shall all have you in our thoughts xx
Sorry to hear about your loss of you father. All the best for the graduation.
I am so sorry.... running could help to ease your mind.. . just let your thoughts run with you.
A Graduation day...the best of luck and warm thoughts for Friday.x
It was probably anxiety! Little wonder in the circumstances. I hope the funeral goes off all right. These occasions are always going to be traumatic. A good run will help you unwind, hopefully.
Good luck with it. Give yourself some love won't you ☺ Come back here and tell us how it went. A Graduation gift to yourself would be a good idea ☺
Our thoughts will be with you on Friday. Look after yourself and take it nice and slow. It's a 30 min run not a speedy one. The slower you take it the more it will help your mind relax into the run and help your tension. Take very good care of yourself. Rfc x.
Sounds as though your head has graduated already if you've taken on board what a helpful tool running is for coping with life generally, not just about fitness.
I hope that despite the various apprehensions (will the funeral go OK? will my calf be OK?) you have a wonderful triumphant run and generate lots of endorphins to cradle you through the rest of the day.
A bittersweet day for you. I hope the running can bring you some solace and serenity.
We'll be thinking of you and mentally running alongside.
I'm so sorry for your loss. All the best for your Friday run...I hope you have an amazing graduation run to take your mind off the sorrow.
Look after yourself. My condolences
So sorry for your loss your inner strength will help you to graduate and maybe dedicate your run to your dad sending positive thoughts to you
So sorry to hear that. Take care and all crossed for graduation.
