Goodbye Week 8!

Well, this evening I have been out and run Week 8, run 3, and ran it without bleating and whingeing ;) . My last few runs have been a bit further apart than useful for various reasons and I won't be running again until Saturday, but if all goes to plan I will be running my final run on Saturday 15th October. Thanks to everyone who has been keeping me company, hope your last few runs are going well (haven't seen posts from some of my fellow almost a graduates for a little while). X

  • Well done and not long now to that graduation run πŸƒπŸ˜€

  • Thank you, lightweightkate . I can almost see the badge gleaming in the sun ;)

  • I'm running tonight and then my last run on Friday morning first thing - hoping to graduate then. Good luck and keep on running!

  • How you ended up one run ahead of me? I was even ahead at one stage. Must be my extra days off. πŸ€” Good luck tonite.

  • I've been a bit naughty to fit my runs in so I can graduate on Friday before I go on holiday for two weeks later that day. I did 3 x 30 minute runs on back to back days. I did it, despite my hubby's remonstrations. Can't recommend it but so keen to graduate before I leave for Greece. Silly really as I so easily could have suffered an injury. Lesson learned and I shan't do it again as I've only been able to get to this point by absolutely sticking to the programme. I`m going to sit in the naughty corner.

  • You must feel pooped! Naughty Indiscoot ;)

  • Lol, you could have ruined your holiday. This time you'll get away with a warning. πŸ˜€

  • Just done my regular Pilates class - all fixed now πŸ˜‡

  • Go Indiscoot ! :)

  • Good luck. I run early in morning too and shall be cheering you on.

  • Well done, and almost there now!!! I'm on wk 9 and struggling fitting runs in with just starting a uni course!! Going after uni this afternoon and hope to do final run on Friday morning πŸ˜€ all the best for your final runs this week xx

  • Good luck with your course, Janec25k ! The first couple of weeks of term are always manic ;)

  • Yes it's very hectic and daunting as haven't been in education for soooo long!

  • Good luck too. Well done especially fitting it in with new course.

  • Thanks it is going to be a challenge to fit in 3 runs in a week but I am going to do my best as it's been brilliant to almost be at the end and to feel I can run πŸ˜‰

  • My first week 9 run due this evening. So we'll probably graduate around same time. Any strategy when it comes to rest days?

  • I'm having extra rest days foisted on me due to other commitments, ench0 . Won't be doing any exercise on them except walk to and from work, and dancing on Thursday evenings as usual and maybe Sunday as well.

    Good luck :)

  • I have always managed with just one rest day between runs and on those I just tend to take the dogs for their walks!

  • Hiya SlowWorm. Good to see your post, I haven't seen you for a while. Wow, you are nearly there, that's fantastic :-). I have completed 3 runs for Wk 7, but am going to do one more on Friday just for my confidence. Then onto Wk 8. I still find it hard to realise that this is not a fluke and I really CAN run for 25 minutes. So on to graduation :-)

  • I have been lurking in the shadows, curlyann ;) It's the first week of the new university term and I have been pretty busy with one thing and another but still squeezing the runs in when I can, reading posts but not responding to a lot. Morning off so I am catching up with as much as I can. Nice to hear your progress :) x
